How do you find all the Safes in The Last of Us 2? There's a two-step process to becoming a safecracker: you'll need to find the Safe first and foremost, and then you'll need to figure out its Safe Code Combination. Typically, this is hinted at in a nearby Artefact, although there are exceptions to this rule. Digital Safe Locker
You'll find key resources in find the Safes, including ammunition and crafting items, as well as occasionally Weapons (See Also: The Last of Us 2: All Weapon Locations and Upgrades) and Trading Cards (See Also: The Last of Us 2: All Trading Cards Locations).

Below you'll find a list of all Safe locations and Safe Code Combinations in The Last of Us 2. Click on the Safe's name for a more detailed explanation, or click on the Chapter's name for a full guide to all the collectibles in that area. There are also dedicated guides for each Safe if you want to learn more about each puzzle. Opening all the Safes will unlock the Safecracker Trophy.
If you're playing on a higher difficulty (See Also: The Last of Us 2: What Difficulty Should You Select?) then opening Safes will be essential, as they're often filled with key resources, such as ammunition and crafting items (See Also: The Last of Us 2: How to Craft Every Item). You'll also find some weapons inside Safes, as well as equipment upgrades, like holsters.
As an additional tip, it's worth mentioning that you can open Safes without the Safe Code Combinations or associated clues. Scroll through the numbers and listen for the clicks. The correct digits will make a louder sound than all of the others. You may need to use headphones to hear the difference, but it is perfectly possible to open the Safes this way.

Strange, I just started chapter 7. Went back to the bank from downtown and opened the safe (for the second time) and the trophy popped? Haven't done the shortcut or descent safes yet! This some sort of of bug? 🤔
You can hear the click sound change if you have the right number...thus needing no codes at all!
Found one. The locker. Seattle in the abandoned subway, after your 1st encounter with the shamblers. You have 2 clues: 1 is a piece of paper and the other is a soda can. "1-5-2-?-?" is the hint. Heres another hint. You have 2 numbers left. Arrange them and you'll get it
