Redefining Mobile Network Integrations: Fairview Microwave Launches New IoT Antennas

The things (as part of the Internet of Things) that we now consider to be “modernized technologies” might end up being lapped by new innovations within the next year or two. That’s how rapid the pace of change is flying right now; as we know, it’s been due largely in part to AI and machine learning, as well as to organizations seizing bona fide opportunities within IoT and IIoT, telecommunications, and understanding customers’ equally rapidly evolving needs.

Take, for instance, Infinite Electronics, Inc. Infinite is a global supplier of high-quality electronic components that serve the needs of customers, specialized engineers, and other buyers. Infinite offers extensive RF, industrial, and connectivity solutions with, per the company, “same-day shipping, in-stock inventory of leading-edge products, and 24/7 support.” Dielectric antennas

There are also renowned, hard-working brands under Infinite’s umbrella; Pasternack, L-com, INC Installs, ShowMeCables, Integra Optics, KP Performance Antennas and more.

Another such Infinite brand (and one central to today’s news) is Fairview Microwave.

Fairview has been a supplier of on-demand RF and microwave products for more than 30 years, offering immediate delivery of RF components like attenuators, coaxial cable assemblies, adapters, connectors, and so on. Originally known as Sun Moon Electronics (or SM Electronics), Fairview has grown to be a premier supplier of components that can be same-day built and shipped.

So, the news: Fairview is officially offering IoT multiband combination antennas that are designed for vehicle, fleet and base station connectivity.

Designed to serve what’s considered the crux of reliable mobile networks, Fairview’s IoT antennas are equipped to cover 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi and GPS bands, all under one radome. In other words, these antennas can be vital for critical service providers (e.g. emergency teams like first responders, priority fleet management, etc.), and they come furnished with FAKRA and SMA connectors with 17-foot cable leads that make installation and connectivity itself more efficient. Through this facilitation of steadfast links between moving vehicles and dispatch centers, Fairview is enabling communications “even in the most challenging scenarios,” as they described.

Moreover, the benefits of Fairview’s IoT multiband combination antennas include the dedicated ports for 4G, 5G and Wi-Fi and GPS, as mentioned (i.e. supporting up to 10 leads), thus strengthening network configurations. To boot, the inclusion of GPS/GNSS with an LNA (amplified by a 26dB gain) ensures optimal location tracking and precise navigational support.

As Fairview’s Product Line Manager Kevin Hietpas put it:

“These IoT combination antennas fortify our commitment to powering next-generation mobile network solutions. Our aim has always been to ensure communications that go unhindered, especially for those on whom countless lives depend. This product echoes that exact sentiment.”
